About Us
Bethesda Life Center (BLC) is a charitable, non-profit organization
established with the aim to bring hope and happiness into the lives of the underprivileged
children and the neglected people in India.
Thousands of children in India
live in extreme poverty and poor health condition. A large number of
children are found on the City streets, somehow trying to survive. Death
of parents, severe illnesses, acute poverty, abuse etc. are some factors
that force these children on to the streets. On the streets, they are
forced to work, and are exploited, maltreated, and abused. While trying so
hard to survive by begging, picking rags, shoe shining, and whatever jobs
they can find, their liitle minds are full of big dreams for a better
tomorrow.
We, at BLC, have a great burden for these underprivileged children. Our goal is to provide a home for these deprived
children, where they will get good nutrition, clothing, and education.
Our programs are structured to nurture the "whole" child, by promoting a balance
of social, physical, mental, and spiritual growth that helps a child to reach his/her full
potential and to become all God intended them to be.
The Beginning
It was the fulfillment of our desire and vision when the first Children's Home started operating in Andhra Pradesh, India, in December 2000.
BLC is a part of NICOG, a non-profit organization established by Pastor V.A. Thampy in 1976. Today NICOG, with the main office located in Kerala State, India, has more than 1000 Churches reaching into 21 States of India. To contact us:
